Which 3D Glasses Do I Need?

3D DVD / Blu Ray

For a 3D DVD or Blu Ray you will need to match the colour to the 3D Cardboard glasses in the case. They will either be ‘Red and Blue’ or Green and Magenta’.

Active 3D TV

With your 3D TV, you need special glasses called ‘Active Shutter Glasses’. The electronics are built into the 3D Glasses which use stereoscopy to convert the image from the TV into 3D. See our 3D Glasses drop-down menu to find out which glasses you need for your new 3D TV.


Passive 3D TV/Sky 3D In the Pub

If you go to the pub to watch ‘Sky 3D’ for football etc, you need the polarized glasses. These will work with the special sort of 3D TV’s that are in Pubs which differ from the ones in the high street. We have a range of models here:


3D Blu Ray Player Discs

If you are playing a Blu Ray that needs to be played on a 3D Blu Ray player, you still need the glasses for your 3D TV. You cannot buy the cheaper versions as they will not work.


Cinema films in 3D

These will also need the polarized glasses. This will let you watch the new 3D films such as ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘A Christmas Carol’. Please click here to see these glasses:
